I find the act of being in everyday spaces extraordinary. With or without intention, we are constantly navigating and negotiating our relationships with the other “existences” (which in my conception include not just  living beings or inanimate objects, but also the more intangible things, like traces of people, sense of space, textures, phenomena, concepts, feelings, etc.) around us. Do we have a relationship with these things? Is it reciprocal? In what way are we separated from each of them? How much of that thing I am seeing/feeling is a mere reflection of myself? If we are not essentially separated, does the concept of “relating” even apply to us?

In some sense, photography became a way of engaging with these questions, and evoking new ones.
